Overview

Livecast AI is a Chrome extension that converts your X.com (Twitter) feed into audio broadcasts. This policy describes how we handle your data.

Data We Collect

When you use Livecast, we collect:

1. X.com Username - Your public username to identify your account
2. Feed Posts - Text content, author names, and timestamps from posts you view in your "For You" feed
3. Usage Data - Which audio segments you play or skip (for improving recommendations)
4. Local Browser Data - Session tokens, collected post IDs, and playback state stored in Chrome's local storage

How We Use Your Data

• Post Content: Processed by AI (OpenAI GPT-4) to create summarized audio segments
• Audio Conversion: Text is converted to speech using ElevenLabs or OpenAI TTS
• Personalization: Play/skip data helps prioritize content you're interested in

Data Storage

• Posts and segments are stored in our secure database (Supabase)
• Data is associated with your X.com username
• Local browser storage is used for session management and deduplication
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties (except for processing via OpenAI and ElevenLabs as described above)

Data Retention

• Raw posts and processed audio segments are automatically deleted after 24 hours
• Local browser data persists until you uninstall the extension or clear browser data
• You can request immediate deletion of your data by contacting us

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• OpenAI - AI summarization (privacy policy)
• ElevenLabs - Text-to-speech (privacy policy)
• Supabase - Database hosting (privacy policy)

Your Consent

By using Livecast, you consent to:

• Reading posts from your X.com feed for audio conversion
• Processing of that content through AI services
• Storage of data on our servers

Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures including:

• HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
• Secure authentication tokens
• Row-level security in our database

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Stop using the extension at any time
• Request deletion of your data
• Know what data we have collected
